Merry Christmas and a ho ho ho

We had a great time at the annual Jenkins Family Christmas festivities this year. We really missed Robert's family, but we hope to see them soon. Fun was had by all, paticularly Abbey, who really seemed to enjoy the white elephant gifts :o) We were also able to sing to Grandpa Clark for his 83rd birthday. It was a great party, a big thank-you to Ray and Gaelynn for all of their hard work.

Grandpa blowing out his candles. We love you!

Our favorite old farmer looking pretty relaxed.

Ellie, Braden, & Brixen excited for presents.

Ray reading the pass along story.

Peter and Abbey are ready.

Me wrestling with Drew to keep him out of trouble (it didn't work suprise suprise)

What's Russ doing you ask well we don't really know. But he is a Cougar fan so I guess we don't need any other explanation. love ya buddy.

Peter & Abbey opening.

Ellie and the flashlight that she had a death grip on.

Braden and his pillow.

Shoeless Drew. Grandpa got a kick out of him trying to run away with Pete's football. Neither of us are sure about how he manged to stay on his feet. But he did.

are u saying ur head is a black hole?

Merry Christmas

Ray & GaeLynn, Thanks for the muy fabuloso party! And Russ, I'm sorry, it was Josh that made the original playlist & me that changed it to Depress Mode. I kept thinking "It's not really fair for us to be the only ones with control over the music, we should let everyone know how to do it," but these thoughts were had at random times when nothing could be done about it, then I would forget about it, which is the fate of alot of my thoughts.

For the record I did not add that song.

Family Playlist

I wanted to add a song to the playlist on the blog. But, after digging into it, the only way I could add a song was to create a new account since I did not know the username and password of the Playlist account Roger used when he added Depressed Mood (j/k I like the band, just get a chuckle from the name *grin*). So, I created a new Playlist account. The username is JenkinsBlog. I won't put the password here. Just give me a call and I will give you the password (or post a comment and I'll call you, whatever *grin*). Anyone can login to the Playlist account and add any songs. The playlist can have up to 200 songs in it so we have plenty of room for everyone to add their favorite song.

For those of you who are wondering

We left Forgotten Carols last night 'cause Abby puked. Thankfully it wasn't like the barf-a-thon Saturday night and she just got it all out in one shot. She's a little cranky this morning, but other than that she's still Abby.

We are taking her to the allergist today 'cause she had a reaction to something Wednesday at school and we're thinking her peanut allergy may be expanding to include other members of the family (legume family, that is). I might post later w/ more details.

I'd write more of an update, but I just heard "peanut butter make you sick!" so I'm guessing Peter's in the kitchen.

Children or Parrots??

Some days I'm not sure if I'm actually raising children or just living with a pair of (exceptionally messy) parrots....

Illustration: The other night we get home from running an errand and are herding the twins inside. I stop Abby to pull her hoodie off, and as she goes running into the living room I notice she has no shirt on. So in the time it takes for my brain to process the fact that the shirt came off with the sweatshirt, I mutter "What the heck...?"

For the next 3-5 minutes, Abby stood in the living room repeating "What the heck! What the Heck!" and giggling...

*sigh*

There you go Ray. It doesn't matter how you do the christmas list, someone will complain that it is rigged. :)

The Silence Inside

Roger, I suggest you really do "Enjoy the silence." Te-hee!

Also, for Christmas, I gave the list to your wife, but Kari has Abbi and Braden has Robby.

Speaking of Christmas lists, if I didn't know better, I might say the sib one was RIGGED! It just looks funny since it's so proportionate!

Alrighty, Peace out.

After visiting the Jensen blog, I would just like to say that I like this blog much better. Enjoy the Silience.
I thought you knew everything.

Cousins list

Rog,

GaeLynn and I have heard that there is a cousins list, but since we don't have any kids we don't know any of the details. So, Chell or Karin, or I hear Lynette might be able to let you know about it.

Them's Fightin' Words!

Okay so never mind Christmas and all of those other things and on to more important things. Is no one else going to mention the crushing defeat that BYU felt this last weekend. I think we are all a little sad that their quest towards mediocrity is over. Well enough with the pleasantries and on to family matters. I am not sure if this is a good thing. But this week I have discovered that the Ute indoctrination is complete with Brixen. As I am sure a lot of you know he has a couple of buddies that just live next door. These three are practically inseparable they do everything together. Well on Friday I came home and Brix proudly told me that he had gone up to Jaden (one of his buddies) and said "BYU sucks BOOOO!" After which Jadens Dad jumped in and started trash talkin' back. I am proud to say that my son never backed down. What a good boy.

So, if nobody has any concerns I will take last years do the standard rotation and put it up here.

Oh all right. Y'all better feel special becasue this is my first ever blog post. Yes, I've finally caved in and will post to this blog just for my family. So there... :P

For those of you who don't know, I had an interview with the Church CIS department last Friday morning for a job doing much the same of what I'm currently doing. They must have liked me because I got a call Friday afternoon asking me to come back for another interview on Monday morning. That interview must have also gone well because I got a call this afternoon to let me know that they want to offer me a position and I should have the official offer sometime tomorrow.

Now I just have to go tell my current boss.

Lynette & Dennis

Okay so by the time you get done reading the posts for today you will all be sick of hearing from us Jensen's. But on a more serious note, Chell talked with Lynette today and she's not doing so well. She is due in December and had another one of those blackouts where she can't talk or anything again last night as well as lexie woke up throwing up last night. I just wanted to let everyone know to keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayer's. Love you all.

changes for the better

Well I decided to add something to the layout of the blog that I think gives this blog a distinct sense of personality. As well as a distinguished sense of style it is especially for Ray and Russ so I hope you guys enjoy. See if you can figure it out.

Go Utes!

What did you do?

There was an incident yesterday at the Jensen house hold. When I got up I asked Chell to throw some of my work pants in the dryer so that they would be ready when I had to go. So I got all showered and went into the laundry room and she had this Oh No look on her face and then I looked down and saw this.

It's hard to tell but my shirt now almost fits my 6 year old son. I am not sure what happened, but I think Chell was secretly trying to get Brixen a new sweater. Either that or she really likes my riped abs.

Our Saviour on my Birthday

So the Gaming crew went out for a day on Saturday. We went down to the conference center and saw Savior of the World, which was incredible. Several times through the performance, I felt the spirit witness to me so hard that it shook my body. It was a beautiful play about the life of Christ. A definite must see.

We then went out to Lonestar steak house. Which disappointed me for three reasons. 1. They don't have poppers as an appetizer anymore. 2. They don't have costco style chocolate cake anymore. 3. The don't smoke their prime rib anymore. Needless to say I will be sticking with Ruby River, Texas Roadhouse. At least the service was pretty good for 12 people.

After, Russ GaeLynn and I went to FYE and Russ and I picked up Band of Brothers, the Blue Ray version for my birthday and just because for Russ. All in all a really nice way to spend my birthday.

Those November Birthday Candle Blowers

For those that were there you saw the "blow hards" in action. For the rest of you here's how the battle was joined.

Here you can see the cakes arrayed for the battle.

First up was the senior citizen, he was able to use years and years of experience to easily blow out the candles on his german chocolate cake.

Next Came the Over the hill dude, you could see him struggle a little but finally those candles finally went down.

The crowd waited breathlessly as the contest went on

Next up was the smiling avenger, her candles went down without mercy or justice.

Finally there was the trick blower, he sat up for a very difficult shot from across the kitchen. The flames flickered, one went out, the other struggled against the trickster, and finally prevailed. With anger in his eye, the trick blower took another breath and showed that candle what for.

Well, that is how the battle went down, score: blowers 4, candles 0. Its a good thing that the candles lost, you don't want to know what happens when the candles win. :)

Happy Birthday

the party was fun. I talked to Grandpa Clark this morning and he said that Eddus had alot of fun at the party watching all of the kids running around, and was thrilled that all of them came and climbed up on Larry's lap and gave him a hug. We missed the Robert Jenkins Family.
I have Kirstin's address so if anyone needs it give me a call.
Love Mom

Updates

Okay, just so everyone knows, Mom and Dad don't currently have a computer. Mom on very rare occasions checks her e-mail at the library, but not very often, as well as the rare occasion I am home with my computer. They still have their phones, and that is usually the best way to get a hold of them.
Anyway, as for me, I am now living back in Price. Danny is still not home. He should be home soon, though we don't know exactly when. But when I say soon, I mean he should be home before Thanksgiving. Don't know anything beyond that. Though he has expressed a desire to see everyone before we head south. I'll get a hold of Grandma when I know more of what's going on.
As for the parties, regretfully we won't be there. We have our honeymoon/first anniversary/welcome home trip planned that week. So we apologize, but I doubt we'll be there.
And just so everyone is aware, Roby is living with me right now too.
Anyway, I hope all is well with everyone. And Happy Birthday to all the November birthdays!

Wintery Day!

It has been snowing and snowing here at work, I am hoping that the commute home wont be long, and that the accumulated snow won't be too deep. If it is, there will be  a couple adventures for me.
1. Trying to get up my driveway and into the garage with slippery sufaces.
2. Trying out my new snowblower.

It should be fun.

Hope you all are safe and sound and get to snuggle in warm houses this evening.

Happy Halloween Everyone.

We hope all of you had a happy Halloween . We really missed Robert, Neatta, & all of their kids hopefully they will be able to come down for the festivities nest year. My neighbor and I had a great time doing the spook ally. I couldn't believe what a good turn out we had. Last year we had less than 100 people, but this year we estimated we had at least 300 people come threw. We already are making plans to make it bigger and better so if any of you have suggestions for nest year let me know. We love all of you and hope that all went well. Anyways I thought I'd throw up a video and some pic's of Ellie and Brixen at their school programs. Enjoy!

Welcome, Welcome Jenkins Family

Well I think we have been talking about doing something like this for a while. Chelley and I have just started our own blog so I thought I would see how hard it would be to start one for the family. Hopefully this will be a place where we as a family can share more of our experiences and goings on. We love you all. Josh & Chell
